Sufferers of heavy perspiration think their problem is a rare one, when actually it’s not. The problem I’m referring to is hyperhydrosis, which is when people seem to sweat excessively for no reason. Hyperhydrosis affects around 3% of the world’s population. From my experience most doctors seem to be ignorant about the condition. So this lead me to research about the condition on the Internet, from which I’ve come up with 5 tips that can help people who suffer from heavy perspiration.

5 Tips On Stopping Heavy Perspiration

Change your diet - one’s diet can have a big impact on how much they sweat, and what the odor smells like. You should go out of your way to avoid all spicy foods, products containing caffiene and alcohol. Both products with caffiene and alcohol speed up your metabolism, and make you sweat more. They also make you more de-hydrated. It’s also very important you eat 4 small meals a day, and inbetween meals eat fruit - ensure you consume your 5-a-day everyday! You should also drink lots of water a day, infact water and fruit juice are the only liquids you should be drinking.

Clothing - having sweat patches on your shirt can be very embarrasing. Try wearing clothing made from natural fabrics, like cotton, silk and wool. These fabrics will allow better airflow to your body, to keep you cooler. You can also mask your sweat patches on a daily basis, by wearing baggy t-shirts when possible. And light colored clothing so the sweat patches are less visable.

Anti-perspirants - you can pick up strong anti-perspirants that are high in aluminium chloride from your local drug stores. The aluminium chloride actually blocks up any sweat ducts. You apply the solution at night, then wash off in the morning.

Bathe - it’s horrible to suffer from heavy perspiration, but when the sweat has nasty odor, your problem is 10 times worse. To combat any odor from perspiration, you should bathe twice a day. Ensuring the skin is clean thoroughly.

Relax - dedicate a few minutes of the day for relaxation time. Try some yoga or meditation. You can free your mind of all your worries on a daily basis. You need to transfer bad energy. The point of the exercise is to think positive about yourself. It’s the law of attraction, if you’re constantly thinking about your sweat problems, you’re attracting them. Meditation will alow you to transfer your bad enery, and then you think positive about yourself.
